Start your paper with an introduction, 1-2 paragraphs in length that outlines the purpose and scope of the paper. The main body of the paper is next. This should contain the most current epidemiological data around the rates for heart disease in Canada. Do not get into an explanation of the different types of heart disease as this is not necessary, you already have this information from your previous nursing program. Provide evidence (prevalence and incidence) around where in Canada are the rates highest and who in terms of population groups are most affected by heart disease? Provide epidemiological evidence about the trends for heart disease in Canada for the past 10-15 years. How do the rates in Canada compare to other countries such as the United States of America? In the next section of the paper provide evidence around community-based strategies that are being used to address this health issue, include strategies aimed at all levels of prevention. In this section also address how heart disease impacts health care in Canada today (consider direct and indirect impacts). The final part of the paper is the conclusion which should be a summarization of the topic.
