Business Management
You have been hired as a consultant to the producer. The producer wants to evaluate current strategies for reproductive management of his breeding flock and is interested in exploring other possible lambing dates for the enterprise– changing rainfall patterns and involvement other enterprises on the farm have led to this evaluation process.
• Prepare a report for your client that provides the producer with options that address his question
In the final report you should be able to demonstrate to the producer that you have a good understanding of the operation.
This can be achieved by providing a short summary of the current enterprise at the beginning of the report. The final report should include:
• An executive summary of the evaluation and findings
• A brief introduction to the evaluation
• An overview of the current operation – you will need to decide on the most relevant information
• the questions that were posed to you by the producer
• background to the approach that you have initially taken – you are expected to use information sources for this
• the findings from the initial investigation
• issues that have been identified and the subsequent investigations that were undertaken – the approaches should be justified using background information from relevant sources
• findings from your subsequent investigations You will need to think carefully about the information that you present from the investigations. Only include data that is relevant to the outcomes. You will need to review information contained in tables and graphs found in the investigation reports – only include information that is relevant. Create your own tables containing the most relevant information – avoid pasting graphs into this report.
